Thank God...the Islanders are the most boring team to watch. They might as well dress 12 Dmen and 6 Forwards.
I am looking forward to a TB Dallas series. Should be entertaining on both ends of the ice, unlike the ECF which was incredibly boring

East Coast guy. Admittedly not a ton. Please don’t tell me they’re as boring as the islanders

More boring. Islanders-Lightning series was run and gun compared to what the Dallas series is gonna be.

Don't give Cooper any ideas.

He’ll probably keep running 7D with Luke Schenn to help match the physicality of players like Benn and Perry.

But if they win you can take consolation in that you lost to the Champs.

That's how I look at it...

Boring? Wow, don't let your hatred for the superior NY team cloud your vision on what was a very entertaining series. 3 2-1 games, 2 OT's, both goalies standing on their heads, speed, crushing hits both ways... what more do you want, Disney on Ice with Mickey Mouse winning it in a shootout?

For the record, I never labeled the TBL-NYI series as boring, I just added that a Dallas-TBL series will be far more boring.

I found the TBL-NYI series to be a great one to watch play out. It had everything you want from a series. Suspenseful OT games. Goalie duels. Rough stuff. Pretty goals. The Isles gave the Lightning a scare.

I think a lot of Tampa fans have come to expect a certain brand of high-event hockey with lots of goals, open ice dipsy-doodling, and fancy passing. The Isles defense did a very good job of locking the ice down and not allowing Tampa to exhibit it's "brand" of hockey.

Last year or prior, the Isles probably win this series because Tampa couldn't win tight, low-scoring games against teams with suffocating defenses (Columbus sweep). The Lightning have tweaked their roster and added a new dimension to their brand. If the Bolts have really figgered out a way to win these types of games/series, then it just might be their year.

The Isles have definitely proven that they can win without Tavares and have gone further without him than with him.

Cool screen name. Mick Vukota is a blast from the past.

He played for the Lightning towards the end of his career. I recall him beating the tar out of a couple of people during his time here. Seems like ancient history now. Tampa used to love those old enforcers - McCrae, McCarthy, Hartman, Vukota, Ciccone, Poeschek, Clark, and poop-starters like Tucker. A lot of heavies passed through Tampa in the pre-lockout era.

Glad to see we are in the finals, now its time to finish the job.

Never thought my deep gulf fishing trip would coincide with the Lightning in the cup finals. Won't be able to watch the first 3 games and will have to wait for our spotty satellite internet to work to check scores but our boat will be flying the Lightning banner.

Let's go. Hopefully the boys get their redemption.
